I used to collect old books. I revered them, the older the better. They were like wise ancestors deserving of respect, so I never, ever wrote in them. No highlighting, no margin notes… just the appreciation of a personal note on the inside cover of gifted books.
Recently, I was offered the honor of reviewing the Now Revolution Book by Jay Baer and Amber Naslund. They sent me two copies, one to read and one to give away. I had planned to give away both… until I cracked my copy and began to read. I find myself highlighting and making margin notes with abandon.
What has come over me?
With the introduction of the internet, information has become so readily available but we don’t connect with the ebooks as intimately as we do with paper books. Being able to write on these pages is a privilege that says, “I was here. I read, I absorbed, I learned.”
I am in the middle of chapter two and loving the book, if you want a shot at getting a copy for free, let me know and watch for the review over on CyberCletch.com.

I love to write in my books, much to the dismay of some… I think it stems from university day’s where highlighting and note taking in the margins helped me “own it”. Welcome to the margins Pat! Let me know if this is a must read…
