I’ve spent a lot of time in natural settings and have a healthy respect for mother nature. Last nights severe weather resulted in an abundance of water rushing down river in the Smoky Mountain National Park. I climbed down beside the road – up river from here – to get a better shot, lost my footing and slid down towards the water. I now have a very sore hip and a gratitude that I didn’t fall all the way in. I also have a mangled pair of prescription glasses – it will be difficult to drive home without them. Guess I’ll be looking for an optometrist today!
